Example of the Lists Manager dialog for Data Sources
The Data Source functionality allows you to import data from external sources (Oracle, MS SQL. MS Access databases). The right pane elements for the Data Sources are described as follows:
The "Data Source" static header |
Contains the "Data Source" header. |
Name: |
Contains a Data Source item name. In fact, this is the name of this Data Source list in the tree. |
Test: |
If you click this button, the Editor will try to access the current data source. If the Source is not defined yet, this button is disabled. |
New: |
When clicked opens the Data Source wizard, which allows you to fill in the Available Fields list. For further information see the section titled Data Source wizard. |
Available Fields: |
This list contains the following columns: # (Number), Field Name, and Field Type. If the data source was opened successfully, the list will contain all fields, which are extracted from the data source. |
When you click the OK button, all changes will be saved. When you click Cancel, all changes will be discarded.
